Immediate danger?
Call 999 if someone is in immediate danger or needs an emergency response.
Tell someone who can help
If you live with us, speak to a staff member or your social worker. If you are a professional or member of the public, call our team on 0191 312 1022 to agree how to share the concern appropriately.
Routine website and email enquiries are not an emergency response route. If the team cannot be reached, contact the young person’s local authority children’s services or emergency duty team. You can find local contact information through Newcastle City Council’s child safeguarding contact page.
Concerns involving a staff member
Ask to speak with the Registered Service Manager. If the concern involves the manager, contact the Nominated Individual. For urgent concerns, use the appropriate emergency or local-authority route rather than waiting for an email response.
Our approach
We work with young people and their professional networks to recognise risks, build trusting relationships and agree practical safety plans. Staff follow safeguarding and missing-from-home procedures and work with the relevant agencies.
We listen to disclosures, take concerns seriously and share information with the appropriate people when needed to protect someone. We cannot promise to keep information secret where someone is at risk.
